Mhaismal Hill Station, Aurangabad

Mhaismal, a small hill station, is 39 KMs north of Aurangabad City is nearest from Khuldabad or Ellora Caves.The Hill Station is situated at an altitude of 1067 meters, is about 12 KM from Khuldabad and is about 40 Kilometers from Aurangabad City.

Mhaismal, originally called as Maheshmal for the Maheshmal Village within the place.Mhaismal attracts visitors during monsoons when it is covered in greenery.

Girija Bhavani Temple here is very famous and the devotees in thousands throng here regularly. A fair is held on every Chaitra Pournima.

Gorakhnath Cave in the vicinity of Mhaismal is known to be a holy place where Gorakhnath, one of the nine naths, had performed penance in this cave.
