Gokak Falls (Monsoon Hangout Location) - Belgaum,Karnataka

The Gokak Falls is a waterfall located on the Ghataprabha River in Belagaum in Karnataka. 

The waterfall is horse shoe shaped at the crest,with a flood breadth of 177mtrs (580 ft).During rainy season the thick 
reddish brown water sweeps.

This nearly 210 metre-long suspension bridge – merely a hanging wooden bridge – was constructed in 1907 for the convenience of the workers of Gokak Mills Ltd. and residents on either sides of the Ghataprabha river.

There is an old electricity generation station and electricity was generated here for the first time in the country in 1887.

Best Time To Visit:- The best time to visit is between July - October.

The waterfall is 6KM away from Gokak.

Nearest Railway stations Gokak-Road Railway station is about 9 KM from Gokak city.
